Who we are
Salt & Wisdom is an operating studio owned and run by Tim Milazzo in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, United States. Questions about this policy or about your data can be sent to tim@saltandwisdom.com.
What we collect
We collect only what a small studio needs to operate. That means: your email address and name when you subscribe to the newsletter, download a tool, or request a resume copy; the contents of forms you submit, including deal or engagement details you choose to share; account details and profile information for clients who log into the private dashboard; privacy-friendly, aggregate website analytics; and, where you have accepted advertising measurement, the data described in the "Advertising measurement" section below. We do not sell data, and we do not build advertising profiles of visitors who decline measurement.
Website assistant
The site includes an AI assistant. Conversations are stored so we can review how the assistant performs and follow up when someone asks to speak with Tim. Along with the messages themselves we record technical request details: IP address, approximate city or region derived from it, browser user agent, referring page, the pages visited during the conversation, and any website URL you ask the assistant to analyze. Don't share confidential or sensitive personal information in the chat. If you ask to be contacted, the name, email, and message you provide are emailed to Tim. You can request deletion of a conversation at any time using the contact details above.
Analytics and cookies
Cookies and local storage are used only where they are functionally required — primarily to keep authenticated client sessions signed in on the dashboard and to remember your cookie choices — plus the advertising measurement described below, which runs only with your permission.
Advertising measurement
When you accept measurement, we load the ChatGPT Ads pixel, a script operated by OpenAI, to understand which visits to this site come from our ads on ChatGPT and to measure and optimize those campaigns. For that purpose, OpenAI receives information such as pages viewed, the fact that a visit followed an ad interaction, device and browser details, and IP-derived location. No profile details you type into forms are shared with it. If you are in a region that requires consent for this kind of measurement, nothing is sent until you accept; if you reject, or change your mind later, your choice applies immediately — use "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page to change it at any time.
Product analytics
We use PostHog to understand how the site is used, including page views, clicks, and session recordings that replay how pages were navigated (form inputs are masked). This follows the same consent rules as advertising measurement above: in regions that require consent, PostHog only starts after you accept and stops if you reject.
How we use and share it
Information is used to reply to you, deliver what you asked for, run active engagements, and send the newsletter you subscribed to. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Data is stored with infrastructure and email vendors acting as processors on our behalf, and is shared with a third party only when it is necessary to deliver the service you requested or when the law requires it. Sensitive deal materials shared through the dashboard are visible only to you, the parties you explicitly grant access to, and the studio.
Retention and your rights
We keep information for as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected for, and delete or anonymize it after that. You can ask at any time for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, for corrections, or for deletion — email the address above and we will action the request within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also object to processing or ask us to restrict it.
Changes
