The studio behind Salt & Wisdom
Salt & Wisdom is the operating studio of Tim Milazzo, based in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. It is a single-operator studio, not an agency and not a fund: the work is a mix of building products, running open experiments, and taking on a small number of consulting and advisory engagements each year with founders and operators who need someone who has actually shipped.
Tim co-founded and led StackSource, a technology-enabled commercial real estate capital markets platform, from first line of code through thousands of financing requests and hundreds of millions of dollars in closed transactions. Before that he worked in commercial real estate data and brokerage, and he has spoken at industry events including SXSW, CREtech, and LendIt, and been covered by TechCrunch, Bisnow, and Inman. The full career history lives on the resume page.
What the studio is good at, concretely: turning a vague product idea into a shippable scope, standing up an early go-to-market motion, structuring debt and equity capital for operators and small-business acquirers, and putting AI agents to work inside real operating workflows instead of demos. What it does not do: staffing, offshore development shops, or open-ended retainers with no defined outcome.
Most engagements start as a short paid diagnostic — a few weeks, a fixed scope, and a written recommendation you own — and only continue if there is obvious value in continuing. Writing from the studio is published in the Salt & Wisdom Newsletter, and free templates and Claude skills are available on the free tools page.
